BLACK DRESS

When i got this dress from a flea market i couldn’t wait to rock it.i get totally excited over outfits with the slightest hint of a vintage look/feel.I finally wore it and didn’t like the outcome the neckline was too low and slouchy it just didn’t sit right so i wore something different this happened twice and i almost gave up on this dress! FULL SKIRT

Hello am back after a long breakIMG_20151206_151819

My first post today is about A line full skirt. I’m still trying to master the skills required to pull off a monochrome look to some its effortless but i will get there.

It has been hot lately and this skirt came in handy if like me you love to accentuate your waistline this is the skirt for you it also gives an illusion of longer legs which I love

I wore a dress on top and tucked it in as a blouse it can be  worn separately on a different occasion in this case I couldn’t find a anything else to pair the skirt with hence the choice. I think it served alright and below are the photos I hope you get inspired.

DSCN2906-1

Hallo everyone I hope April is treating you well

Once again am doing a post on Ankara skirt that’s because am obsessed with the style and any time I come across anything  African print am going to rant about it on this blog I just cant get enough. This makes me wish I knew how to sew because all id have to do is get some  fabric and create very beautiful outfits.am still searching for a good tailor who delivers and also affordable

Guess I’ve had this skirt not less than 2 years and I’ve worn it to church, to a traditional wedding etc.  I love the fact that its a wrap skirt but you wouldn’t notice unless I did a 180 and so it makes walking smooth you know comfort is key when it comes to style .the skirt can be worn in hot and  cold weather all you have to switch are the shoes and the top. I  love the pattern and the color is vibrant which lifts my mood  every time I rock it.

AFRICAN PRINT MASH-UP

IMG_20150329_170112 Hi everyone ,

Today i decided to mix two prints in spite of being skeptical about it, I think it worked out alright,I wore the tribal shirt and paired it with the Ankara  skirt I’m   not sure  i followed any set of rules when it came to combining the  prints ,I particularly love the Ankara skirt even though it’s  not overly bright   it gave me  a vibrant vibe, the brown boots were meant to tone down  the outfit, it’s a good go- to outfit on weekends especially when running errands up and about you just need some slip-on flats and you are good to go.

Have a fabulous  week ahead.

RETRO GLAM

Hi everyone ,

Today’s post is about this paisley print vintage dress that am totally in love with since am crazy about anything vintage and am slowly building on my wardrobe collection.its been hot lately and dresses have become my favorite day wear.20150222_163429The dress sits slightly below the knee and because i wanted to elongate my legs i paired it with chunky heeled pumps they are very comfortable.the gathers on the dress create emphasis on the waist and giving it balance .Enjoy the rest of the pics and have a great week ahead.
